A-Level Art - Portrait - Oil on Canvas
Michaela supported Abby in preparing for her final A Level Art examination in the UK, guiding her through the creation of this oil portrait on canvas. During tuition, Michaela helped Abby develop strong oil painting techniques, including accurate colour mixing for realistic skin tones and the ability to build subtle transitions in tone and form.
Through structured guidance and focused practice, Abby strengthened her observational skills and refined her compositional approach. The final portrait demonstrates a confident handling of oils, careful observation, and a level of finish aligned with exam-standard A Level work.
GCSE Art - Perspective
As part of her GCSE Preparation, Ellise gained strong understanding of one-point perspective, using a city street scene to create clear depth and structure. The buildings are carefully drawn with consistent vanishing lines, giving the composition a convincing sense of scale and space. This traditional architectural drawing is combined with bold street-art–inspired lettering and colour, which adds energy and contrast to the controlled line work. The mix of precise perspective and expressive graffiti style demonstrates the student’s ability to combine technical skill with personal visual ideas.
A-Level Art - Portrait - Oil on Canvas
Michaela supported Kyria in the development of this oil portrait as part of her preparation for her final A Level Art examination. Drawing inspiration from the work of David Cambria, Michaela guided Kyria through the process of generating and refining her own reference material, beginning with photographing her subject and digitally adjusting the image to strengthen composition and lighting.
Using the edited reference as a study, Michaela helped Kyria develop her oil painting technique, focusing on accurate colour mixing, controlled brushwork and tonal structure. The work demonstrates strong observational accuracy and a clear understanding of how to translate photographic reference into a resolved painted portrait, providing a solid foundation for her final exam outcome.
Art Scholarship - Acrylic Painting
Michaela worked with Avi over several years, initially supporting her preparation for an Art Scholarship at a prestigious UK independent school. Together, they developed a strong and varied art portfolio, including still life and portrait studies, classical observational work, and finished pieces across a wide range of media such as watercolour, acrylic painting and clay.
Alongside portfolio development, Michaela also prepared Avi for the scholarship interview, helping her articulate her ideas with confidence and clarity. Avi was successfully awarded the Art Scholarship and continued her art studies with Michaela following her acceptance.

My daughter enjoyed her 1st class and continued to attend classes for another 4 years. My daughter was offered an art scholarship and continued to attend lessons. Michaela brings out the best in the children from the pieces of work i have seen. We are very pleased.
